Meet Robert Parham: Kickboxing Legend, Actor, and Film Producer! πŸ₯‹πŸŽ¬

Robert Parham, born Robert Dennis Parham Jr. on January 24, 1966, is a retired American kickboxer and former five-time World Kickboxing Champion and four-time Sport Karate Champion. With a stellar kickboxing record of 17-1, including 9 knockouts, his career was nothing short of remarkable. His last match, however, ended with a stoppage by Patrick Barry, a UFC alumni. πŸ“Έ

While serving in the Air Force, Robert studied the martial arts system of Comba-Tai under Dr. Alonzo M. Jones. During this time, he won Mississippi's Silver Gloves boxing championships and started earning karate titles in 1988, including Armed Forces Champion, Mississippi State Champion, and pre-Olympic Taekwondo Champion. πŸ“Έ

From 1991 to 1993, Robert won the National Karate Championship and was crowned the United States Karate Alliance World Karate Champion in 1991. He also bagged Sport Karate International's regional winner titles in 1990 and 1993, and world champion title in 1991. In 1993, he earned the National Black Belt League’s Regional and World Titles, along with the United States Karate Alliance Lightweight Koshiki World Title. πŸ“Έ

His impressive karate accomplishments earned him the Air Force's Air Education and Training Command’s Male Athlete of the Year award in 1992. But Robert didn't stop there. He claimed world kickboxing titles in five weight classes: middleweight in 1994, super middleweight in 1996, light heavyweight in 1995 and 1997, cruiserweight in 1997, and heavyweight in 2001. πŸ“Έ

In 1999, Robert was featured in the inaugural show of the TV series "The Toughman World Championship on FX," making it to the finals and losing a hotly disputed decision to the local favorite. He made a return to competitive fighting in 2013, delivering a first-round knockout in the Fists-n-Kicks MMA promotion. πŸ“Έ

Robert's achievements have earned him induction into numerous halls of fame, including the Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame, the Masters Hall of Fame, the USA Hall of Fame, The Martial Arts Museum, The All-Pro Tae Kwon Do Hall of Fame, The Gedatsuki Hall of Fame, The Kuro Bushi Hall of Honors, and the Action Martial Arts Hall of Fame. πŸ“Έ

After retiring from martial arts competitions, Robert transitioned into acting, landing minor roles in movies like "Bad Faith," "The Insider," and "Hand to Hand." He had his breakthrough starring role in the multiple award-winning mini-feature "Buster Jones." πŸ“Έ

As an actor, producer, director, and writer, Robert has been featured in the Daily Republic, Solano County's News Source, by reporter Amy Maginnis-Honey. She introduced Robert Parham and the upcoming independent movie, "Jackson Bolt," which premiered in Sacramento, California. The movie featured Fred Williamson aka The Hammer, Robert Parham, R. Marcos Taylor, and James E. Meyer. πŸ“Έ

In recognition of his achievements, Hillside, New Jersey Mayor Angela R. Garretson awarded Robert Parham Jr. a Proclamation Award, declaring January 23, 2017, to January 27, 2017, as Robert Parham Week. πŸ“Έ

In 2021, Robert graduated from Columbia Southern University with a Doctorate in Business Administration. He continues to pursue his passion for producing movies, with his latest films including "The BAM: The Willie Johnson Story," "Snow Black," "The Hanged Man," "Mad As Hell," "Soul Cage," "The Thirst," "I Am 9ine," "1 Out of 100," and his latest production, "Cocaine Roach." πŸ“ΈπŸŽ¬
